Get Involved!
 

Volunteer on one of the following committees:

The Improv : Assist guests with hands-on jazz activities, instrument making, creative projects or, if your musically inclined, help guests discover their inner musician.

Concessions: Staff concession booths and serve refreshing beverages to festival guests. (Volunteers in booths providing alcohol must be 21 years or older)

Guest Relations – Interact with Jazz Festival guests by volunteering in one of the following areas:

  • Bag Check: Assist security by organizing lines, answering questions and handing out program guides to guests as they enter the site.
  • Greeters: Greet Jazz Festival guests and hand out program guides as they
    enter the site.
  • Information Booth: Provide guests with important Festival information.
  • Surveyors: Gather valuable guest knowledge by walking the site and giving guests a one-page survey.

Volunteer Committee – Be the first contact that our Volunteer Corps has at the festival. Check in fellow volunteers, replenish refreshments and troubleshoot.

All volunteers must be 18 years or older.
Volunteers working in booths providing alcohol must be 21 or older.

All Volunteers, except concessions, need to arrive at Volunteer Headquarters one half hour before their shift in order to receive their 15 minute training session.

Concessions Volunteers
must attend one training session held at The Center of Clayton.

  • Wednesday, May 14 6:00-7:00 pm

- from 170 head east on Ladue; turn right on Gay Avenue. The Center is straight ahead.
- from Brentwood heading north, turn left on Forsyth, make your first left on Parkside Drive, enter The Center’s parking lot on the left after you pass Clayton High School.

acknowledging St. Louis’ rich
Jazz heritage by spotlighting
emerging local talent.

The mission of the Saint Louis
Jazz & Heritage Festival is to
stimulate awareness of the broad
and diverse array of contemporary
jazz music and to nurture and
encourage the understanding and
appreciation of jazz as a musical
form. Through performance and
education, the Jazz Festival will
collaborate with and serve the
community.
