There is no longer an age minimum for volunteers. *Volunteers 14 years of age and younger must be
accompanied by an adult at all times.

Volunteer on one of the following committees:

Kids Big Corner - Make reading a hands-on experience for children while you help coordinate projects and interactive experiences.

Guest Relations – Interact with Big Read guests by volunteering in one of the following areas:

  • Greeters – Greet Big Read guests and hand out program guides as they
    enter the site.
  • Information Booth – Provide guests with important Festival Information.
  • Surveyors – Gather valuable guest knowledge by walking the site and giving guests a one-page survey.

Volunteer Committee – Be the first contact that our Volunteer Corps has at the festival. Check in fellow volunteers, replenish refreshments and troubleshoot.

All New Volunteers and Guest Relations volunteers must attend a mandatory training.
Location & time TBA

All other volunteers will be instructed as to their specific duties by their committee chairs once onsite.

*Although we try to accommodate everyone, Cultural Festivals
reserves the right to not accept all volunteer applications.

by Centene Corporation features publishers, book-sellers, national authors, readings, book signings, panel discussions, workshops, demonstrations and an interactive children's area with readings, costumed characters and projects that engage the young reader.
