The Saint Louis Art Fair is an annual three-day festival that features a nationally-ranked, juried art show featuring the original work of 165 visual artists, artist demonstrations, performing arts, music on three stages, the Children’s Creative Castle, the Art Studio, a Poetry Garden, Culinary Arts and gourmet food from over 20 of St. Louis’ top restaurants.

The mission of SLAF is to create access to a broad array of visual and performing art experiences, nurture the development and understanding of diverse art forms and cultures and encourage the expanding depth and breadth of cultural life in the Saint Louis area. Through exhibition, sale, performance and education, we collaborate with and serve the community.

Get Involved!
Volunteer for one of the following committees:
1. If you want to help adults discover their inner child, choose Art Studio!
Art Studio/Creative Castle – Help Art Fair guests with hands-on art activities.

2. If you want to help children discover their inner artist, choose Creative Castle!
Art Studio/Creative Castle – Help Art Fair guests with hands-on art activities.

3. Ever wonder how artists create such amazing work? Choose Artist Demonstrations!
Artist Demonstrations – Assist demonstrating artists who participate in Arts In Action, the Performing Arts Village, the Poetry Garden, Glass Blowing Demonstrations and Public Art Projects throughout the weekend.

4. If you are interested in the artists choose Artist Relations!
Artist Relations – Booth-sit, deliver refreshments and trouble shoot for our exhibiting artists.

5. Ever wanted to be a bartender at one of the coolest parties ever? Choose concessions!
Concessions - Staff concession booths and serve refreshing beverages to festival guests.
(Volunteers in booths providing alcohol must be 21 years or older)

6. Know your way around and love people? Guest Relations is best for you!
Guest Relations – Interact with Art Fair guests by volunteering in one of the following areas:

• Greeters – Greet Art Fair guests & hand out program guides as they enter the site.
• Information Booth – Provide guests with important Festival Information.
• Surveyors – Gather valuable guest information by walking the site and giving guests a one-page survey.

7. If you love to help others and appreciate volunteers like yourself, choose volunteer committee!
Volunteer Committee – Choose on of the following

• New Role! Volunteer Ambassador - Be a volunteer ambassador and walk other volunteers to their destination, introduce them to their committee chairs and freely roam the festival grounds checking with each volunteer station.
  
• Volunteer HQ - Be the first contact that our Volunteer Corps has at the festival. Check in fellow volunteers, replenish refreshments and troubleshoot.

There is no longer an age minimum for volunteers. *Volunteers 14 years of age and younger must be
accompanied by an adult at all times.
Volunteers working in booths providing alcohol must be 21 or older.

Volunteer training is required for all new volunteers and concessions(soda & beer & wine/martini )volunteers. However, training is open to all volunteers if they wish to come.

Art Fair weekend, all volunteers will be escorted to their area onsite and committee chairs will instruct them as to their specific duties at that time.

*Only one training session is required per volunteer.

reserves the right to not accept all volunteer applications.
